TOPIC: New polish law = communism?

The polish law against anyone who puts them in charge of holocaust crimes is ridiculous, it reminds me of russian communism,

90% of the Jews of Poland were exterminated during the Holocaust, often with the direct involvement and complicity of the local population, whether or not legislators in today's Poland want to hear about it.
if they claim they had nothing to do with it how come all or most concentration camps so happened to be on their land and not on any of the other countries germany conquered?

Pope Francis said “The enemy against which we fight is not only hatred in all of its forms, but even more fundamentally indifference, for it is indifference that paralyzes and impedes us from doing what is right even when we know that it is right,” he's right, and we know that basically in anything in life and judaism indifference kills more than actually fighting it...
what do you guys say about this? discuss.

It's ridiculous. I mean, I don't blame them for not wanting to take responsibility for the killings of millions of Jews, that still doesn't mean it's right to totally shift the blame.

They want to rewrite history....
It's not going to work. I mean, even if it's illegal to say Poland had anything to do with the holocaust, don't they have concentration camps still there? There's people who go on trips to see it, are the going to stop that too?

I mean, what about all the books? Testimonials? Even if the illegal trips to go and see the camps, what about Yad Vashem in Jerusalem? Millions of tourists go there and they aren't rewriting history. Isn't there also another 1 or 2 museums in the USA? I mean, it's not going to fool anyone.

What's the point of making a law you can't really enforce all that much?

History only seems to make mistakes, no? The next step is probably dismantling camps, etc....

how can we be in trouble for saying it in israel? they will store a file of every person in the world who said they were guilty and prison them if they come visit poland???
it would be horrible if they dismantle the camps!!
true they can't really force this law as reality speaks for itself but if they do succeed in making indifference people will start forgetting, stop caring and that's really bad.

we don't need more holocaust deniers...

It's 2018, they have ways of knowing these things, if you said something or not, etc.
The law is upsetting but I don't see what we can do.
There's so much sad stuff going on these days, I can't even keep track...

I really don't think though this will lead to more holocaust deniers.
I mean, people believe what they want to believe...

well yeah, things seem to be getting out of hand as i feared,even worse, i've been reading lately how the polish PM accused the Jews of having part in the holocaust (can it get more ridiculous than this!?) which strikes a fight between Israels PM and Poland's blaming each other, Poland is mad that someone vandalized their embassy in israel and is demanding to know the culprits and worst of all this has razed large antisemitism in poland and the jews there begin to live in fear.
but as Rena said it is all in Hashems hand this must be another step of Chevlei Mashiach, i'm just worried as in how much worse it will get, what more will we have to go through before the ultimate redemption, i trust Hashem will get us through it and i hope he doesn't make it too hard... (you say why worry about it, Rena- i'm not worried in that sense i'm am just worried for the effects it will have on jews around the world, i just want us all to merit the Geulah, i want to think of ways to bring awareness of the past and future of our nation and not lose anyone on the way.)

It's funny, because, at first glance, this may not seem like anything to worry about. Poland is a relatively obscure and insignificant country with little to no effect on world affairs.

This is not so much something to worry about as its reflection of the world's growing levels of anti-Semitism. Across the globe, self-proclaimed "democratic" governments are passing laws to restrict and handicap Jewish observance.

Just check out the anti-shechitah bills that are being introduced into practically every legislative body out there...
